Minnesota Vikings’ male cheerleaders react after viral backlash over them joining squad for 2025 NFL season

Blaize Shiek and Louie Conn were confirmed as new members of the Vikings cheer squad.

The inclusion of the two men led to a backlash from some fans.

There were even supporters who threatened to stop following the team.

Shiek and Conn performed during an NFL preseason game this weekend.

They took their place on the sideline with the rest of the squad as the Vikings faced the New England Patriots.

Shiek also responded to the criticism from fans.

He posted a picture of himself on Instagram along with Conn.

“Wait… did someone say our name?” the post read.

And the pair received some messages of support in the comments section.

One posted, “Yall are incredible & I’m so excited to see you on the field!

“Don’t let the hate cloud your excitement and talent!”

Another said, “What y’all are doing is so f***ing important.

“At a time when rights are being threatened there’s no louder activism then being loud and proud.

“You guys are f***ing amazing!!!”

While a third said, “I LOVE you guys! You are both such amazing dancers and you seem like awesome human beings.

“That’s all I care about! I will be cheering for you 2 all season as loudly as I cheer for my team and believe me, I’m LOUD!”
