Woman who drove in crash with Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre breaks silence after she says she has ‘days left to live’

The woman who was driving Jeffrey Epstein accuser, Virgina Giuffre, before the car crashed with a bus last week has broken her silence.

Cheryl Sassela, 71, was behind the wheel of the car with Virginia on board before it collided with a school bus in Perth last week.

Virginia, who accused Jeffrey Epstein and Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, posted on Instagram on March 30 that she had been in a car accident and had been given ‘four days to live’ after suffering ‘kidney renal failure’ from the crash.

In her emotional post, she added: “I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time. My heart is shattered and every day that passes my sadness only deepens.”

The 41-year-old’s family told LADbible Group that she remained in ‘serious condition’ after being ‘banged up and bruised,’ noting the post to her Instagram she ‘thought she had posted on her private Facebook page’.

However, the Western Australia Police Force later said it received ‘a report of a minor crash’ which occurred between a car and a school bus.

The driver of the bus, named Ross Muss, also claimed it ‘wasn’t a major crash’ to Mail Online.

“It’s just all blown out of proportion and I know what happened. I didn’t even see her in the car,” he claimed.

Now, Cheryl, a caretaker at Virginia’s $1.3 million hobby farm, has now spoken out about the saga.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, she said the incident, which resulted in a broken taillight on her car, had led to a misunderstanding.

“I’m not covering for her. I’m not implicated in a cover up,” she said. “I’m sure Virginia will release a statement soon to clear it all up.”

On Sunday, Virgina said in the Instagram post: “I won’t bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can.”

The bus driver said the crash took place at around 3pm on March 30 when he tried to overtake a slow-moving white car when it went under 75kmh.

But he claimed the car suddenly began to turn right as he was trying to overtake in the school bus that was travelling with 29 children still on board.

Munns claimed he beeped his horn, but ended up clipping the car and both vehicles stopped.

He said: “The driver basically pulled out in front of me. I made sure she was alright, and I went and did a police report. She was elderly and I asked if she was ok, and she said, ‘Yes I’m ok’.

“I asked if she lived here and she said, ‘No I’m a carer’, and I told her she needs to put her indicator on when you have to turn.

“That’s all the conversation was, and she asked how the kids were and I said, ‘fine’. It wasn’t a major crash.”

Although he claimed not to have seen Virginia in the car, a police report later confirmed a 41-year-old passenger was in the passenger seat.

A spokesperson for Virgina also said she had ‘made a mistake’ by publishing the post publicly.

Virginia Giuffre’s family speak out as Prince Andrew gives up all royal titles amid Jeffrey Epstein controversy

Giuffre alleged she was paid to do for the royal ‘what you do for Jeffrey’

Prince Andrew has revealed he will give up his royal titles following his Jeffrey Epstein controversy, and Virginia Giuffre’s family has spoken out.

Prince Andrew has long received backlash for his friendship with the disgraced financer, who was arrested, charged, and sentenced for his role in what appeared to be a trafficking operation of young women and minors.

The prince has had had the public on his back in the UK for some time now, particularly after Giuffre sued him for sexual assault in 2021. The lawsuit was settled out of court with an undisclosed sum and Andrew admitted no wrongdoing.

In a statement, he said: “In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family.

“I have decided, as I always have, to put my duty to my family and country first. I stand by my decision five years ago to stand back from public life.

“With His Majesty’s agreement, we feel I must now go a step further. I will therefore no longer use my title or the honors which have been conferred upon me.

“As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”

This news came just days before the publication of a memoir by the late Virginia Giuffre.

Giuffre alleged she was paid to have sex with the prince when she was 17. She died by suicide at her home in Australia in April this year at 41, just before her memoir Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice came out.

In the book, she claims that she had met Prince Andrew in March 2001 before being pressured by Ghislaine Maxwell to ‘do for him what you do for Jeffrey’.

“The next morning, Maxwell told me: ‘You did well. The prince had fun,’” Giuffre wrote, and that Epstein paid her $15,000.

To this new development, her family has spoken out, calling the move to remove Prince Andrew’s titles ‘vindication’.

Her family said in a statement yesterday evening (October 17): “We, the family of Virginia Roberts Giuffre, believe that Prince Andrew’s decision to give up his titles is vindication for our sister and survivors everywhere.

“This decisive action is a powerful step forward in our fight to bring Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s child sex-trafficking network to justice.”

Andrew will no longer use his remaining titles and honors, which includes his Duke of York title.

However, he will retain the dukedom, as only an Act of Parliament can remove it, and he will also give up his knighthood as a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO).

The Prince will see his Garter role as a Royal Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter disappear too.

While The BBC reports his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will not use her title as The Duchess of York, their daughters will continue to be princesses, and Andrew will continue to live in his home and be eighth in line to the throne.

Prince Andrew has denied Giuffre’s allegations, while Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking in 2021 and Epstein passed away in prison in 2019.

Prince Andrew will no longer be a working member of the Royal Family

Prince Andrew has given up his royal titles in light of the sexual assault accusation made against him and his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, but what will happen to them?

Following a conversation with UK monarch King Charles, Andrew announced yesterday (October 17) that he would no longer use his Duke of York title.

He’ll also lose his knighthood as a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO) and his Garter role as a Royal Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter.

He will retain his dukedom as it can only be removed via an Act of Parliament, but he will no longer use the title. He will also remain a prince.

This comes after years of scrutiny over his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and sexual assault allegations from Virginia Giuffre, whose family has since spoken out saying Andrew losing his titles is a ‘vindication’.

The royal settled Giuffre’s 2021 lawsuit against him out of court for an undisclosed sum and did not admit any wrongdoing.

As part of this agreement with the King, the BBC reports that his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will be stripped of her title as The Duchess of York. However, their daughters will continue to be known as princesses.

This deal also does not impact his line of succession, meaning Andrew will still be eighth in line to the throne.

According to royal expert Sharon Carpenter, the move is ‘largely symbolic’ for now.

“At this point it is highly doubtful we will see him publicly with any senior member of the royal family for the foreseeable future,” she told E! News.

As for what will happen to his titles, she gave insights into that too.

Will another royal inherit Prince Andrew’s titles?

She went on to reveal that it’s possible that someone may inherit his titles in the future, however, she noted that dukedom has a male-only line of succession.

Because Andrew has two daughters, neither would be able to inherit his now-former titles.

If he was to have a son, he would be able to pick up such titles from his father.

It’s also worth pointing out he hasn’t been legally stripped of his dukedom, as this would require an act of parliament and MPs would need to vote it through.

That, Carpenter says, would be ‘more complex than this immediate action’ of Andrew agreeing to stop using the Duke of York title.

Why has Prince Andrew been stripped of his titles now?

This move came just before the publication of a memoir by the late Virginia Giuffre, who was embroiled in a civil sexual assault case with the prince before it was settled.

Giuffre died by suicide in April this year at 41, weeks after her book, Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice was due to be released.

In the book, Giuffre claimed to have met Prince Andrew in March 2001 and the pair dined and partied before returning to Ghislaine Maxwell’s home.

She went on to allege that she was pressured to ‘do for him what you do for Jeffrey’ by Maxwell, before Maxwell praised her.

“The next morning, Maxwell told me: ‘You did well. The prince had fun,’” Giuffre wrote, and claimed Epstein gave her $15,000 at a later date.

Prince Andrew denies Giuffre’s allegations.

Father of Jeffrey Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre gives chilling theory to what he believed happened to her

Virginia Giuffre’s family confirmed her death last week

Virginia Giuffre was confirmed to have died by suicide at her home last week, but her father has other theories about her passing.

On April 25 Giuffre’s family said she died at her home in the Neergabby area in Western Australia.

Giuffre became one of the most recognizable individuals who accused Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell of sex trafficking and grooming.

She also alleged that she was ‘forced to have sex’ with Prince Andrew at Epstein’s New York apartment. Prince Andrew has denied all claims against him.

In 2022, Giuffre and the British Royal reached a financial settlement of a rumored $16.3 million (£12 million) out of court, though he did not admit to any wrongdoing as part of the settlement.

However, in a new interview with Piers Morgan on his YouTube show, Uncensored, Sky Roberts confessed he doesn’t believe that his daughter took her own life.

Speaking to Morgan he said: “Somebody got to her.”

He also explained how he first reacted to the news of her death and why he is convinced something happened to her.

Roberts added: “Well, first of all, I couldn’t even believe it. I mean, I started crying right away. I’m still crying. I can’t believe that this is happening. It just, it’s impossible.

“And then for them to say that she committed suicide, there’s no way that she did.”

He also explained how he wished his daughter to be remembered for her determination to bring Ghislane Maxwell and Epstein to justice.

He again reiterated that he didn’t believe she killed herself.

Roberts said: “As someone who actually got out of a bad situation and made a good situation out of it, that she was helping a lot of other young girls that were feeling the pain of what goes on with people like that… I think she’s strong, very strong, and that’s why I don’t think she committed suicide.

“She had too much to live for. She had her foundation.”

Following Guiffre’s death, her family also praised her for her resolve and insisted she should be remembered for her fight back against sexual abuse and trafficking.

The family’s statement read: “She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.

“Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors.

“In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.”

Warning: This article contains discussion of suicide which some readers may find distressing.

Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Giuffre has passed away aged 41, her family have confirmed.

In a statement, her relatives confirmed that she died by suicide at her home in Australia on Friday (April 25).

“It is with utterly broken hearts that we announce that Virginia passed away last night at her farm in Western Australia,” they said.

“She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.

“Virginia was a fierce warrior in the fight against sexual abuse and sex trafficking. She was the light that lifted so many survivors.

“In the end, the toll of abuse is so heavy that it became unbearable for Virginia to handle its weight.”

West Australia police said they were called to a home in the Neergabby area on Friday (April 25) night, where Giuffre was found unresponsive.

“Police and St John Western Australia attended and provided emergency first aid. Sadly, the 41-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene,” a police spokesperson said.

“The death is being investigated by Major Crime detectives; early indication is the death is not suspicious.”

Giuffre alleged that when she was 17 she was sex trafficked to Prince Andrew by Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and was ‘forced to have sex’ with the royal at Epstein’s New York apartment.

Prince Andrew denies all claims against him.

In 2022, Giuffre and the Royal reached a financial settlement out of court, though he did not admit to any wrongdoing as part of the settlement.

In 2019, Epstein took his own life in prison where he was awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges. In 2022, Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years behind bars for her role in the sexual abuse of young girls.

Just three weeks ago, Giuffre posted on her Instagram, telling her followers she had been in a car accident and had been given ‘four days to live’ after suffering ‘kidney renal failure’ from the crash.

Alongside the news, she posted a number of photos of her injuries which showed extensive facial bruising.

However, local police had disputed the severity of the accident, describing it as a ‘minor crash’ with ‘no reported injuries’.

A month before, Giuffre had been charged with breaching a family violence restraining order in Ocean Reef, near Perth, amid reports of difficulties between her and estranged husband Robert.

Her case was first heard in Joondalup Magistrates’ Court in northern Perth on March 14, where she did not enter a plea.

The matter was adjourned to 11 June for a plea hearing, according to Western Australia Courts, while her agent said at the time that Giuffre ‘looks forward to defending herself against [Robert’s] malicious claim’.

Following the news of her death, Giuffre’s publicist Dini von Mueffling described the mother-of-three as ‘deeply loving, wise and funny’.

“She adored her children and many animals. She was always more concerned with me than with herself,” she wrote in a statement.

“I will miss her beyond words. It was the privilege of a lifetime to represent her.”
